MSc
As was expressed by a friend just like that.. an entire year was over. I remember my first day, a years break from the academic world had surprisingly left me with a feeling of uncertainty. Some of the questions ringing in my head were.. Will I be able to easily cope with having to sit in class once again? We're so far away from any civilisation here, will that make me go absolutely crazy? What if I'm allocated a room in an all-japanese residence once again? The answer to these and all other questions was an experience in itself. The people I met, the conversations I had, the interactions I lived through.. it all holds a certain value. This can be said for everything really. One way or the other, anything you do has something you can learn from, it’s all about understanding what these learning points are.
So, I learnt that..
So, I learnt that..
- Spanish love their people and their food.
- Indians celebrate birthdays in a way that I will never understand.
- I love and miss a good meal. FACT
- Some time out by myself is necessary, and advisable for the betterment of others.
- Italians love their country and become the happiest when you love it too.
- Engineering is not my cup-a-tea, nor coffee nor anything remotely understandable.
- Breaking open a car when your keys have been left inside is not difficult at all.
- Calm is not something I cannot feel, it’s about being open to find out how.
- I cannot stop caring about people I feel close to.
- Driving with a left handed car in a right handed country is OK.
- Giving something your best shot might not always render excellent results but the sense of satisfaction you feel inside, can actually make up for that.
- Rain makes me happy.
- Genuine kindness is felt.
- Its alright to not be able to contribute to a conversation. You learn a lot from being silent.
- I am forgetfull and possibly require a PA.
- Everything you do adds value in one way or the other.
- Milk is the cure for ink stains.
- Exercising with someone is always more fun than doing it alone.
- Its alright to not know something.
- The closeness you feel to people need not necessarily be reciprocal.
- Wine all over your clothes? Throw on some salt!
- I love long walks.
