Tenerife was formed anywhere between 20-50million years ago through a series of successive volcanic eruptions which had their origins in the depth of the Atlantic ocean. The result is what we see on the left, a unique island with a topography that gives rise to several microclimates.
Each of these offers a distinct landscape as well as very different vegetation and animal species. Whilst the north and north east is lush green, the south is arid and orange in colour.
Tenerife is a small paradise, hidden in the vastness of the Atlantic. An intriguing mix of history, culture, and tradition. An island of beauty, not only in landscape but also in it's people, it's laid back nature and it's fabulous food.
